President's Message - November 2008
Dear PV Moms
,I hope all of you had a fun and safe Halloween. It was wonderful to have such a good turnout at the pumpkin patch, and to mingle with all of your families. The general meeting was also very well-attended, and our little goblins had a great time with games and trick-or-treat.
As we look ahead to November, I want to encourage you to participate in our bake sale with the "Cruisin' 50's" car club being held at Rick & Ronnie's. This is a great one for the husband and kids, they will get a kick out of all of the 50's cars, and we can make some real headway with our fundraising project. Please get involved either by baking, or taking a shift at the table. A big part of MOMS Club is to give back to the community, and this is a fun way to be a part of our fundraising efforts.
With my son in kindergarten, and having a 2-month old I am starting all over again in many ways. Now with a newbie, I am reminded of how important the MOMS Club has been in my life, and how positively our club and the people in it has affected me, and I'm sure many of you. Being the mom of young children is such a busy job, and can be lonely business, so I encourage all of you to get involved, check the newsletter calendar each month, and read those Evites from MOMS Club and from your playgroups. You will surely find some activities you can join in, and your participation will lead to many good and lasting friendships. Sharing your concerns, trials, and joys with other moms who understand is priceless. I hope you will try out our House Club for infants (non-walkers only) or House Club for walkers (open to all). We meet in each other's homes on a rotating schedule, in a comfortable and personal setting, and just get to know each other and visit. For the outdoor types, I am starting up a new walk club at the beach. The goal is to enjoy the ocean and fresh air and get some exercise with friends. So look out for those Evites, and respond if you can make it so I know who to look for.
Hope to see all of you this month!
Elaine, Co-President
